Delivering Reliable Energy and Economic Benefits to Nevada

SB Energy is developing the Libra Energy project (“Libra”) in Mineral and Lyon Counties, Nevada. Libra is a battery energy storage and solar energy facility that will strengthen the local Nevada grid and economy with a new source of reliable power. The energy produced by Libra will be sold to NV Energy under a long-term agreement to serve Nevada residents and businesses.

Libra received its federal, state, and county discretionary permits. Construction will be complete and operations are expected to commence by the beginning of 2028.

Project Location

Libra is located near Yerington, Nevada.

Responsible, Community-Focused Energy

SB Energy is committed to responsible development, construction, and long-term operations-prioritizing community well-being and environment stewardship through the life of the project.

  • Once operational, the project will be a passive use of the land
  • Land will be stabilized and re-seeded to support regeneration and soil health
  • Solar facilities operate quietly and produce no emissions
  • Fenced wildlife corridors will be maintained, avoiding major drainage
  • Construction will be phased to minimize site disturbance and community impacts
  • Native vegetation/pollinator species used for reclamation
